Virtual ServerBy Definition
Virtual Server is a method of partitioning a physical server into multiple servers that each has the appearance and capabilities of running on its own dedicated machine. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted.

How this relates to your businessMost networks have multiple physical servers like file/print, Data Base & application servers. These servers only see a 10 - 20% utilization which leaves most of the hard drive space, memory and processors never being used. These servers also consume valuable space, power, and produce heat.
A Virtual Server enviroment utlizes software to run separate server "sessions" on a single piece of hardware. These sessions are isolated and secure from each other.

Benefits of server virtualization
Regardless if your data center has 5 servers or 50 servers, your budget and your time will benefit from virtualization.
- Reduce the need for Additional hardware purcahses
- Make more use of your current hardware
- Provision a new server in minutes
- Simplify IT testing
- Reduce hardware management
- Reduce Data Center power and Air-conditioning
- Increase reliability
Before your next hardware upgrade or purchase
Contact Infinity to have a virtualization study developed. Depending on the age of your current hardware we may be able to leverage your existing technology to implement a virtualized enviroment. This will help in reducing the overall upgrade cost.
